摘要：The invention discloses a phenol ortho-methylation catalyst and a preparation method thereof. The catalyst is an alkaline Fe/Mg compound oxide, wherein, the mol ratio of Fe to Mg is 1: (0.1-2). The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing and dissolving soluble malysite and soluble magnesium salts into alcohols solvent according to a required proportion to prepare a solution A; adding polyethyleneglycol (PEG) into strong aqua ammonia to prepare a solution B; slowly mixing the solution A and the solution B in a cocurrent flow mode under the condition of normal temperature and ultrasound, and then going on with the ultrasound for 30 minutes; filtering, washing, drying and baking the obtained precipitation; porphyrizing the baked solid and repulverizing the solid into 10-20 mesh finely ground particles after tabletting; the finely ground particles are the catalyst. The catalyst has the advantages of high activity at low temperature, simple preparation, innocuity, good stability, high selectivity of ortho position, particularly high selectivity of orthocresol and few by-products.
